Share Facebook Twitter Google + LinkedIn Pinterest Family fun and a connection to rural Ohio are just two of the many reasons for visitors to stop by the Land and Living Exhibit at the Ohio State Fair, July 26 to Aug. 6. Presented by Ohio Farm Bureau Federation and Nationwide, the exhibit demonstrates agriculture’s link to everyday life. Visitors to the exhibit, located in the Nationwide Donahey Ag & Hort building, can participate in a variety of interactive opportunities such as playing with local rescue dogs, learning about nutrition in the reimagined grocery store display and watching chicks and turkeys come out of their shells. The ever-popular Country Cruise pedal tractors are back for children to enjoy, as is the augmented reality sandbox, a water quality learning tool that made its successful debut last year. Throughout the building, everyone can enjoy learning about Ohio’s crops, animals and other important areas of Ohio agriculture. Families can also have a commemorative picture taken, compliments of OFBF and Nationwide. In addition, the Land and Living Exhibit activities include the Country Connection stage that will feature demonstrations such as agriscience experiments, local entertainment, visits from Columbus Zoo animals and more. Squash carver Gus Smithhisler will be back again this year to carve giant squash weighing more than 600 pounds each on July 26, 29, 31 and Aug. 2. A joint Ohio House and Senate Ag Committee Hearing will be held Aug. 1.This year the OFBF grocery store inside the Land and Living Exhibit is more interactive than ever. Building on last year’s display, children can go through this child-sized store and pick out their own groceries. This exhibit for youth provides the opportunity to learn more about putting together complete, quality meals. Each child who visits the grocery leaves with a goodie bag.“With so many exciting activities, the Land and Living Exhibit is informational and interactive for all ages,” said Abby Pozderac, OFBF intern. “We hope visitors leave with a better understanding of the many facets of agriculture in Ohio.”The Land and Living Exhibit is supported by the Ohio Soybean Council, Ohio Corn Marketing Program and the Ohio Expositions Commission. Last year, the exhibit attracted an estimated 300,000 state fair visitors. The Land and Living Exhibit is located east of the giant slide and across from the south entrance to the midway. All exhibits in the building are free.

Emre Can decided to leave Liverpool and sign with Juventus as a free agent but he insisted that his relationship with Jürgen Klopp has always been good and it wasn’t the reason for him to leave. The former Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich holding midfielder spent four years at Anfield and he was, for the majority of this period, one of the key players for the German coach. The Germany international spoke about the relationship between him and his former coach as he said, according to Sports Mole:Virgil van Dijk praises Roberto Firmino after Liverpool’s win Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Virgil van Dijk hailed team-mate Roberto Firmino after coming off the bench to inspire Liverpool to a 3-1 comeback win against Newcastle United.“My relationship with Klopp was always good. He wished me all the best when I told him I was leaving. Not a lot of managers would let you play so many times when you are in the final year of your contract.”“But I always did my best. I always wanted to help the team. That is what he saw. That is why he kept faith with me.”
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has defended his U-turn over Loris Karius’ future by saying that “things in football change”The German goalkeeper has been the focal point of criticism directed at the Liverpool following his two costly errors in May’s Champions League final loss to Real Madrid.Klopp had initially defended Karius and backed his compatriot to recover. But, after some more errors by Karius in pre-season, Klopp went ahead and signed AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker for £67m.Now Karius is set to leave for Besiktas with the Turkish side having accidentally confirmed the move on Friday evening.“There’s nothing new about Loris’ actual situation,” said Klopp, according to Goal.“Nothing’s decided. If it happens, that’s how things go in football. That can happen.“As a manager you usually don’t need that much time between one game and the other game to get the sack. But it’s not the sack, it’s only a change if it’s like that.Virgil van Dijk praises Roberto Firmino after Liverpool’s win Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Virgil van Dijk hailed team-mate Roberto Firmino after coming off the bench to inspire Liverpool to a 3-1 comeback win against Newcastle United.“That’s football. No problem with that. Whatever. Things in football change. If they change, then we speak about that. Before that, I have nothing to say about that.”Liverpool will face Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield today. But Croatian defender Dejan Lovren will likely remain absent from the squad until after the international break while he recovers from a pelvis issue.“He’s coming closer but he’s not really around team training at the moment,” Klopp said.“I am not 100 per cent what he is doing today. He will not be involved in that [Brighton] game, and I am pretty sure he has no chance for the Leicester [City] game.“Then hopefully after the international break he will be ready to go, that would be nice.“That was the target from the first day when he was in and we knew about his problems. We always thought if we could give him that time, then that would be cool.”Liverpool have won both of their opening games of the new Premier League season.

A substance believed to be red paint was splashed across the front glass doors and windows of the clinic, which is in a three-story business complex at Mission Bay Drive and Bunker Hill Street. The same clinic was splattered with red paint in a nearly identical incident in mid-February.Police did not immediately have any suspects in the case, Heims said. Officers told dispatchers they were taking samples of the substance for testing, and 10News reported that police were seeking footage from two nearby surveillance cameras.Planned Parenthood clinics offer reproductive health care services such as sex education, birth control, emergency contraceptives, cancer screenings, abortions and pregnancy health. But the organization has come under attack — both verbal and physical — from abortion opponents. The most notable attack happened on Nov. 27, 2015, when a gunman entered a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood clinic and killed three people, including a police officer, during a five-hour standoff. Robert Lewis Dear Jr., 59, has repeatedly confessed to the shooting in court and in interviews, though he’s been found incompetent for his prosecution to move forward.Dear has called himself a “warrior” for unborn children and said he was prompted in part by secretly recorded videos that appeared to show a high-level Planned Parenthood official detailing how the organization profits from aborted fetuses by selling the human tissue for medical testing. The unedited video showed a clearer picture of the conversation and showed Planned Parenthood offsets some costs by selling the tissue but does not make a profit. The two anti-abortion activists who secretly made the videos and others with Planned Parenthood employees have been charged by California Attorney General Xavier Becerra with 15 felony counts related to illegal recordings.
