Gardaí appeal for information following fatal stabbing at Ormond Square

first_imgFOLLOWING A FATAL stabbing incident yesterday gardaí are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen anything suspicious in the Ormond Square area yesterday.John Maguire, aged 51-years-old, died after he was attacked at his home in Ormond Square, Dublin 7.Gardaí at the Bridewell in Dublin received a 999 call at approximately 2.30pm yesterday.Multiple stab woundsMr Maguire was found to have severe stab wounds to the neck and back. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 3pm.The body was moved to the City Morgue in Marino and a full post mortem examination will be carried out at 10am this morning.A Garda family liaison officer has been appointed to the family.
